Green Day Causes A Ruckus On Twitter (2019-11-10)

Hola! Today we did a serious analysis of Green Day’s Twitter activity. Let’s jump right into it. First, the primary metrics: as of 2019-11-10, Green Day (@GreenDay) has 5077827 Twitter followers, is following 187 people, has tweeted 2157 times, has liked 432 tweets, has uploaded 398 photos and videos and has been on Twitter since August 2009.

Going from top to bottom, their latest tweet, at the time of writing, has 14 replies, 85 retweets and 992 likes, their second latest tweet has 36 replies, 333 reweets and 2,302 likes, their third latest tweet has 42 replies, 625 retweets and 3,980 likes, their fourth latest tweet has 78 replies, 1,294 retweets and 6,982 likes and their fifth latest tweet has 109 replies, 795 retweets and 5,830 likes. That gives you an idea of how much activity they usually get.


Going through Green Day’s last couple pages of tweets (and retweets), the one we consider the most popular, having let to a very nice 272 direct replies at the time of writing, is this:

That looks to have caused quite a ruckus, having also had 2475 retweets and 23211 likes.


And what about Green Day’s least popular tweet as of late (including stuff they retweeted)? We have concluded that it’s this one:

That only had 4 direct replies, 32 retweets and 382 likes.


We did a lot of of digging into Green Day’s Twitter activity, looking through what people keep saying in response to them, their likes/retweet numbers compared to before, the amount of positive/negative responses and so on. We won’t drone on and on about the numbers, so our conclusion is this: we say the online sentiment for Green Day on Twitter right now is just fine.
