The Professional Group of Emergency Physicians in Canada wants greater transparency regarding the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Canadian Emergency Physicians Association has called for a clearer explanation of who is prioritized over first doses and why.
It also makes it a priority to visit patients who are seriously ill or suspected of having COVID-19.
The association says many members are not vaccinated in areas with limited human resources, but urban providers seem to have reached the level where patient contact is low.
A report on Wednesday said communications about the process did not yet support the claim that vaccine release follows an ethical framework.
Many doctors do not know when they will be vaccinated, and the association says it needs to change.
