A police ID person has been killed in the parking lot of a coal restaurant

Police say the death of a man in a restaurant parking lot on Friday is now being investigated as a homicide.

Following information from a person in medical distress, police were called to the massage lounge and restaurant parking lot at 9223 McLeod Trail SW at 11:20 p.m.

When the EMS arrived, 32-year-old Daniel Dudgeon was pronounced dead. The autopsy was completed Monday.

Police said he is believed to have spent some time inside the Dodge restaurant before he was killed.

“Other hosts of the restaurant may have important information that will help investigators resolve the case, whether they were in contact with the victim or not,” said staffer Sarget. Colin Sisholm of the Assassination Unit said in a statement.

“Information that appears to be irrelevant or insignificant may often be information that investigators are missing.”

On Saturday, officers were seen in the parking lot looking for evidence as the body ran through an ice rink near where it was found.

Anyone who visits the restaurant between 7pm on Friday night and closes is asked to call the police emergency number 403-266-1234 or the homicide unit helpline at 403-428-8877.
